According to research firm SensorTower, TikTok became the world’s most profitable non-gaming app in October 2020. TikTok brought developers $ 115 million, which was 6.2 times more than last year. 86% of TikTok’s revenues came from China, 8% came from US users, and another 2% from Turkey.

YouTube came in as the world’s second most profitable non-gaming app in October. The application brought in $ 94 million, which was 58% more than a year earlier—56% of all YouTube revenues earned in the US, another 11% in Japan.

Tinder came in third in profitability among non-gaming apps in October, followed by Tencent Video, and Disney + closes the top five in terms of profitability. Netflix, Google One, Piccoma, iQIYI, and BIGO LIVE are among the top ten grossing apps in October.
